Your pharmacy may be eligible to receive patient care opportunities transferred from other local pharmacies. Program sponsors recognize the positive impact pharmacy-based patient care services have on members’ health and on the bottom line. Program sponsors also recognize that increasing case completion significantly enhances these benefits. Pharmacies that regularly complete their cases may be assigned cases from local pharmacies that do not regularly complete available patient care opportunities. In order to be eligible to receive reassigned cases, pharmacies must first sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Mirixa, committing to protect patients’ health information. If you are contracted directly with Mirixa (not through a Pharmacy Services Administration Organization (PSAO)), then contact Mirixa Support to request that a BAA be sent to you through the MirixaProSM platform. Pharmacies that contract with Mirixa through a PSAO or chain should not require individual BAAs, although the PSAO or chain must sign a BAA in order for associated pharmacies to receive reassigned cases. Pharmacies will have approximately 14 days from case receipt to take action and show progress on patient care opportunities delivered to their MirixaPro queues. Activities that signal progress include: scheduling an appointment, printing the patient’s chart, or saving new information to the case. If after 14 days, progress has NOT been made on an individual patient care opportunity, it may be reassigned to another local pharmacy. This is a great way to gain new customers! Take advantage of this opportunity today.
