Mirixa Corporation Announces Key New Hires

 Mirixa Expands and Strengthens its Team to
Further Develop Programs for its Pharmacy Network

Reston, VA (July 9, 2009) Mirixa Corporation, the leader in targeted pharmacy-based patient care services, today announced the hiring of three new members to its growing pharmacy team. Mirixa welcomes Joseph Gruber, RPh, CGP, FASCP, Kim Swiger, RPh, and Paul Miller, MS, RPh.  

Each new team member will work closely with Mirixa’s pharmacy partners, state and national pharmacy associations, national standards groups, and patient program sponsors to continue the development of new innovative programs. 

“These three industry-recognized pharmacists bring to Mirixa many years of experience in patient care and clinical program management, and we’re delighted to have them on the Mirixa team,” said Rick Solano, Mirixa’s chief executive officer.

Joseph Gruber has a strong focus in long term care, and has previously served in senior roles at Omnicare, Inc., The Jewish Hospital of St. Louis, and most recently as President/CEO of ASCP Ventures, Inc., a subsidiary of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists. Mr. Gruber has published several articles on geriatric pharmacotherapy and disease and medication management. He has been recognized for numerous industry awards including the Commission for Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy (CCGP) Excellence in Geriatric Pharmacy Practice Award.

Kim Swiger will focus her years of clinical experience on developing programs for, and on behalf of, the schools of pharmacy and state pharmacy associations. Prior to joining Mirixa, Ms. Swiger was responsible for implementation of MTM services, continuous quality improvement and corporate pharmacy operations for Ukrop’s Super Markets, Inc.

Paul Miller brings to Mirixa vast experience, both nationally and internationally, in clinical research and pharmacy practice management. Prior to joining Mirixa, Mr. Miller held prominent positions at Mayo Medical Center and numerous well-known hospitals in the U.S. and abroad. As the Project Director for Health Care Reform, Mr. Miller led a team of medical professionals responsible for improving the primary health care system of Romania. He continues to be involved in pharmacy related humanitarian efforts throughout the world.
