CMTM Names Gary Steier as Senior Vice President, Pharmaceutical Services and Sharman Stephens as Vice President of Client Services


ALEXANDRIA, Va. (March 20, 2007) - Community MTM Services, Inc. (CMTM), a leading developer of clinical solutions that facilitate pharmacist-based medication management and patient care services, today announced the appointment of Gary Steier as its Senior Vice President, Pharmaceutical Service and Sharman Stephens as its  Vice President, Client Services.

Gary is responsible for building relationships with pharmaceutical brand teams and spearheading efforts to launch pharmacy-based patient education, clinical trial recruitment, and post-market surveillance programs.

Prior to joining CMTM, Gary served as Vice President of PDI, Inc., a diversified sales and marketing services provider to the biopharmaceutical industry, where he led several pharmaceutical clients through periods of significant growth in revenue and profit.  Additionally, Gary was one of the key principles in ProtoCall, Inc. a start-up venture that was eventually acquired by PDI.  He started his carrier with IBM and has over 26 years of sales and leadership positions spanning pharmaceutical and technology industries.

Sharman Stephens is responsible for the design and delivery of services provided to health plan clients. Sharman lead CMTM’s 2006 efforts facilitating the delivery of Medication Therapy Management services to over 40,000 qualified Medicare patients, via its software-as-a-service secure technology deployed at pharmacies nationwide. Ms. Stephens brings over 30 years of experience in health care policy and program evaluation through her work at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Medicare, Medicaid, mental health and substance abuse programs.  As Director of the Planning and Policy Analysis Group at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) she played a leadership role in the legislative and regulatory process to establish the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit.
